Designed to process low-distortion haptic waveforms up to 120V HD, the BOS1211 can control TDK's 120V PowerHap piezoelectric actuators or similar loads. The product features a piezoelectric sensing interface that detects the pressure applied to the actuator, generates an automatic haptic waveform response, and notifies the user. Piezoelectric haptic buttons compatible with the BOS1211 help improve upon older haptic technologies by offering faster response times and an extended frequency range compared to linear resonant actuators (LRAs).

The BOS1211 executes waveforms via an integrated digital front-end and SPI interface. The interface incorporates an internal 1024-sample FIFO system, a waveform synthesizer, and 2 KB of RAM for waveform memory. The Boréas BOS1211 CapDrive piezoelectric haptic controller is delivered in a QFN-24 package with a wettable edge, providing a space-saving solution for haptic applications. The BOS1211 is AEC-Q100 Grade 2 certified and is suitable for a wide range of haptic applications, including displays, button replacements, and HMIs.
