The 900 V versions of the LinkSwitch-XT2 IC family are optimized for high efficiency, enabling designs to easily meet Energy-related Product (ErP) limits. LinkSwitch-XT2 power supplies consume less than 30 mW when discharged and have high conversion efficiency across the entire load range. This makes the new devices ideal for IoT and Home and Building Automation (HBA) systems that spend significant time actively monitoring radio interfaces or networks. The ICs feature a selectable current limit and fully integrated auto-reset for short-circuit and open-loop protection. The use of frequency fluctuations greatly reduces EMI, and the devices easily meet isolation distance and high-voltage creepage distance requirements between the DRAIN and other pins on both the PCB and the package.
Comments: Silvestro Fimiani, Senior Product Marketing Director: "These switching power supply ICs enable designers of three-phase utility meters, motors, industrial auxiliary power supplies, IoT/HBA devices and sensors, and actuators to realize a truly 'one-world' power supply that meets the reliability expectations of users worldwide. For example, OEMs targeting the growing Indian market for high-quality consumer products experience a continuous flow of damaged and returned electrical products that require repair or replacement. The LinkSwitch-XT2 900V switching ICs provide effective and cost-efficient protection with a proportional reduction in product operating and support costs.".
Samples of the LinkSwitch-XT2 900V ICs are available now, priced at $0.60 per unit in quantities of 10,000. See the LinkSwitch-XT2 900V and other new products from Power Integrations this November at Electronica 2018 - Hall C5, Booth 212.
Power Integrations has announced the launch of the LinkSwitch™-XT2 offline switching integrated circuits incorporating 900V power MOSFETs. Targeting high-efficiency, isolated and non-isolated flyback power supplies up to 8W, the enhanced-rated ICs are suitable for 480VAC three-phase industrial power supplies and high-quality consumer products intended for regions with unstable power grids, tropical regions with frequent lightning, or any area where high-energy surges and spikes are prevalent.
