The AEIC-7272, AEIC-7273, and AEIC-2631 quad differential line controllers provide the additional supply voltage required by industrial applications up to 30 V. With integrated current limiting and thermal shutdown functions, these line controllers protect against short circuits to ensure highly reliable operation in harsh environments for industrial encoder and sensor interface applications, industrial programmable logic controllers, and servo drives.
These line drivers are designed to meet industry standards in encoder applications. They offer an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C for the AEIC-7272 and AEIC-7273 devices and -40°C to 125°C for the AEIC-2631. All are available in the industry-standard, lead-free, 16-pin SOIC line driver package. Featuring high-impedance buffered inputs with hysteresis, these line drivers provide a robust noise margin, even in the high-noise environments typical of industrial control.
The AEIC-2631 operates over a wide supply voltage range of 4.75 V to 30 V and incorporates tri-state functionality. The AEIC-7272 features tri-state outputs, while the AEIC-7273 has NPN open-collector outputs, each operating from 3.5V to 30V. Thermal shutdown is achieved by monitoring the junction temperature and comparing it to an on-chip band-hopping reference.
Other features include operation up to 800 kHz, CMOS and TTL compatible inputs, and RS-422A support.
