Designed for high-temperature environments, the MLX81150 integrates many of the essential external components for DC/BLDC motor control into its compact package, reducing board footprint, bill of materials costs, and system power consumption. The MLX81150
features a high-performance embedded 16-bit Flash microcontroller with 32kByte of Flash memory, meeting the specific requirements of each motor control application. The integrated 4-bit central processor handles the LIN protocol. The chip also includes a voltage regulator, a LIN transceiver, two relay drivers, and four power FET gate drivers. A series of pre-programmed function blocks contribute to efficient motor operation. An interface for connecting a Hall effect sensor enables position sensing.
This highly integrated device meets the operational needs of DC motor-driven positioning actuators used in intake valves or electric window regulators, as well as in continuously running motors installed in auxiliary water/oil pumps. The MLX81150 is supplied in 5mm x 5mm QFN and 7mm x 7mm TQFP48 packages. With its AEC-Q100 Grade 0 approval, this device features an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It also incorporates 45V discharge protection.
