The IR3230SPbF is a highly integrated, three-phase gate driver IC designed to meet the needs of inverters in electric bicycles. This new device offers an input range of up to 60V, allowing it to operate with 48V battery-powered systems. It features a regenerative braking mode for battery recharging and integrates numerous protection functions to reduce the number of components and improve system reliability.
The IR3230SPbF integrates the sensor interface and offers selectable 120°/60° gate angles, eliminating the need for a programmable logic array. Furthermore, it simplifies the control method, as an integrated charge pump eliminates the need for the three electrolytic capacitors typically required by such systems.
The IR3230SPbF is supplied in an SOIC28 package featuring an environmentally friendly, lead-free, and RoHS-compliant materials list.
