These new components offer complete isolation despite their small size by integrating the primary conductor to measure nominal currents of 4 A, 6 A, 8 A, 10 A, 12 A, 16 A, 20 A, or 30 A, with a measurement range equivalent to 2.5 times the nominal current. The GO series products can handle high overcurrents of up to 200 A peak and short duration
(1 ms).
The transducers are mounted directly onto a printed circuit board as SO8 or SO16 SMD devices, thus reducing manufacturing costs and offering space savings necessary in space-constrained applications.
The GO models are easy to use because they integrate low-resistance primary conductors (which minimizes power losses) within a proprietary ASIC to enable direct current measurement and consistent isolation, as well as providing large creepage distances and clearances.
The standard models provide an analog voltage output with varying sensitivity levels depending on the model, delivering an output voltage of 800 mV to IPN for the 5V versions and 500 mV to IPN for the 3.3V versions. Some models offer a proportional output option.
GO transducers are not simply open-loop Hall-effect ASIC-based transducers; this series is designed with unique integrated primary gradient drivers to provide excellent immunity to external fields encountered in power electronics applications.
These special designs combine proven techniques, such as winding and internal programmable temperature compensation (EEPROM), ensuring a high level of accuracy across the entire temperature range from -40 to +125°C with a maximum value of 3.74%. The absence of a magnetic circuit contributes to this accuracy, as no magnetic offset is generated. Temperature accuracy and response time have been significantly improved compared to the previous generation. The GO series achieves a short response time of
2 µs, very similar to the response time of a transducer with a magnetic circuit.
The SO16 package provides two levels of overcurrent detection (OCD) warning as standard on two dedicated pins: one very fast and the other slower but more accurate.
Some applications, especially for motor drives, require the same speed but are less demanding in terms of current range and insulation levels, although they face significant price and size constraints. Examples of such applications include household appliances, electric blinds, and air conditioning systems, for which GO offers a solution due to its low cost and very small size.
In these applications, which utilize AC drives, AC and DC inverters, power supplies, and servomechanisms, GO brings a breath of fresh air. The GO series competes advantageously with other traditional low-cost current measurement solutions, such as shunts, which are often used for cost reasons, but in addition to the well-known advantages of a shunt, GO provides natural isolation.

The GO series meets the latest industry standards and comes with a five-year LEM warranty.
