The LT3014B operates with a continuous input voltage range of 3V to 80V and generates output voltages from 1.22V to 60V with a low de-excitation voltage of 350mV, making it ideal for automotive applications, 48V backup power in telecommunications, and industrial control. Its ultra-low quiescent current of 7µA (operating) and 1µA (off) makes it an excellent choice for battery-powered permanent memory systems that demand optimal runtime.
For high-voltage applications requiring large input-output voltage differentials, the LT3014B offers a very compact and thermally efficient solution. Its low-profile, miniature ThinSOT™ package makes it the smallest 80V LDO available on the market. The LT3014B uses very small, low-cost ceramic output capacitors characterized by stability at only 0.47µF at the output. These tiny external capacitors can be used without the series resistor required, unlike many other regulators. Internal circuitry includes reverse battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting, and reverse current protection.
The LT3014BMPS5's operating junction temperature ranges from -55°C to +125°C, and the device is supplied in a 5-pin ThinSOT-23 package. The devices are available from stock, with a starting price of $4.45 per unit for orders of 1,000 units.
