The ASM330LHHG1 provides accurate data for non-safety automotive and approximate calculation (DR) applications such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, telematics, electronic tolling, anti-theft systems, vibration monitoring and compensation, and general motion-activated functions.
The ASM330LHHG1 IMU, now available from Mouser, complies with the AEC-Q100 standard and is manufactured using a dedicated MEMS production flow to meet automotive industry reliability standards. The ASM330LHHG1 IMU's sensing components are manufactured using STMicroelectronics' proprietary micromachining processes, while its integrated circuit interfaces are developed using CMOS technology. Every aspect of the ASM330LHHG1 IMU's design has been optimized for superior output stability, extremely low noise, and complete data synchronization.
The ASM330LHHG1 IMU boasts a full-scale acceleration range of ±16 g and a wide angular velocity range of ±125 to ±4000 dps, making it suitable for a wide range of automotive applications. With dual operating modes that cater to both high-performance and low-power system requirements, the ASM330LHHG1 supports flexible utilization of available vehicle power. Its digital interfaces, including I2C, MIPI I3C®, and SPI, facilitate system integration, while an integrated 3 KB FIFO provides buffering to reduce the load on the main processor and conserve power. The ASM330LHHG1 is available in a compact, 14-pin, LGA (Land Grid Array) overmolded plastic package and is compliant with ECOPACK and RoHS standards.
The STEVAL-MKI254A adapter board, also available from Mouser, enables easy evaluation of the ASM330LHHG1 IMU. The STEVAL-MKI254A comes with a pre-assembled ASM330LHHG1, along with the necessary support circuitry. The adapter board is supported by the STEVAL-MKI109D evaluation platform, which integrates a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller that acts as a bridge between the sensor and a PC, allowing the use of the MEMS Studio graphical user interface or custom software routines for personalized applications.
