The HVIC features a split 1200V RESURF (Reduced Surface Field) structure that reduces the surface resistance of the electric field and provides high reliability by stabilizing the blocking voltage capability. The already well-known high latch-up immunity of the previous M81019FP device has been further enhanced by the low-impedance structures employed in the new chip.
Although electrically and mechanically compatible with the previous generation (the M81738FP), the new device features a new built-in protection circuit that allows it to withstand power surges on both the float and low sides during operation.
The new HVIC is fully RoHS compliant.
