It comes equipped with 1 MB of non-volatile memory (NVM), 192 KB of RAM, and a set of peripherals sized for simple connected products. Its advanced security features, Arm® TrustZone® isolation, and protection against physical attacks, combined with FOTA compatibility and remote observability via Nordic's nRF Cloud services, enable developers to meet regulatory requirements, ensuring the security and ease of maintenance of products in the field.
Developers can easily adapt and update their designs as requirements change, since all devices in the nRF54L series run the same certified wireless stacks, embedded software, and tools.
Designed for small IoT devices and large-scale deployments,
the nRF54LC10A targets two key application segments. The first is Bluetooth LE devices, which are expected to account for the majority of deployments. Its combination of compact size, competitive cost, and Bluetooth Channel Sounding support makes it particularly well-suited for asset trackers, while also enabling a wide range of other Bluetooth LE products that benefit from low power consumption and a small footprint.
The second is smart home applications. The device is geared toward Thread and Zigbee accessories, as well as simpler Matter-compatible sensors whose functionality fits within the device's memory profile. In Thread home hub and edge router designs, the nRF54LC10A can also act as a Thread radio coprocessor (RCP), working alongside a host application processor or MCU to provide reliable Thread connectivity.
A 128 MHz Arm Cortex®-M33 core, backed by a RISC-V coprocessor, is paired with 1 MB of NVM, 192 KB of RAM, and a suite of essential peripherals consisting of three SPI/TWI/UART instances and an ADC, delivering preliminary CoreMark®/mA and CoreMark 503 scores. Ultra-low power consumption is maintained, as with the rest of the series, thanks to its manufacture on a 22 nm process node with Nordic's low-leakage RAM and a multi-protocol radio design. The radio consumes 4.0 mA in receive and 5.8 mA in transmit at 0 dBm, with a maximum transmit power of +4 dBm; sensitivities are -97 dBm for Bluetooth LE 1M and -101 dBm for 802.15.4, while the standby current ranges from 0.5 µA to 1.6 µA. Three package options are available: two 1.9 × 2.3 mm chip-scale packages (CSPs) and a QFN, which are the smallest in the series.
Availability
The nRF54LC10A is now available for samples, and production is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027. Development kits will be generally available in the first quarter of 2027.
