The Qorvo QPF4528 FEM integrates a 5 GHz power amplifier (PA), regulator, single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch, bypass-mode low-noise amplifier (LNA), RF coupler, and voltage detector into a single device. The FEM increases linear power transmission without increasing power dissipation, enabling higher-performance enterprise Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access points in smaller form factor designs.
The QPF4528 FEM supports up to 8x8 multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) in both conventional and Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems, delivering fewer access points, improved capacity and efficiency, enhanced speed, and reduced operating costs across enterprise systems. The device is also optimized to address thermal challenges in Wi-Fi equipment designed for MU-MIMO environments.
