The ADI LT7200S quad buck regulators provide a programmable operating frequency from 400kHz to 3MHz with an external resistor or external synchronization for switching noise-sensitive applications. A unique "phase-locked, time-controlled, constant frequency, current mode" architecture enables high-frequency, high-buck applications while requiring fast transient response. The high-frequency capability allows the use of smaller surface-mount inductors and capacitors. The MODE/SYNC pin selects either low-noise forced continuous mode (FCM) or high-efficiency discontinuous mode (DCM). The PHMODE pin enables out-of-phase operation between four channels, reducing the required input and output capacitors.
The LT7200S regulators utilize second-generation Silent Switcher technology with integrated bypass capacitors to provide a highly efficient high-frequency solution with superior EMI performance. The LT7200S is available in a low-profile 5 mm x 6 mm 48-wire LQFN package.
