Microchip Technology has added the ECC204, SHA104 and SHA105 CryptoAuthentication™ integrated circuits to its TrustFLEX portfolio, which consists of devices, services and tools, in order to facilitate access to secure keys and accelerate prototype development.
The ECC20x and SHA10x integrated circuits are hardware-based secure storage devices designed to protect secret keys from unauthorized attacks. The ECC204, SHA104, and SHA105 integrated circuits, part of the TrustFLEX platform, already include defined use cases, customizable cryptographic keys, and sample code to streamline the development process.
“The addition of preconfigured ECC20x and SHA10x devices to our TrustFLEX platform will make Microchip’s secure delivery services more accessible to a wider range of applications,” said Nuri Dagdeviren, corporate vice president of Microchip’s Secure Computing Group. “By expanding this platform, Microchip continues to strengthen its portfolio and further facilitate access to secure authentication integrated circuits specifically optimized for cost-sensitive, high-volume applications.”
The ECC20x and SHA10x devices meet the stringent requirements for secure key storage according to the Joint Interpretation Library (JIL) criteria and have been certified by NIST according to Entropy Source Validation (ESV) and Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) in compliance with the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS). These secure integrated circuit families are designed to implement reliable authentication that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of data and communications in a wide variety of systems and applications.
Microchip's CryptoAuthentication integrated circuits are small, low-power devices designed to be compatible with any microprocessor or microcontroller. They provide flexible solutions for securing medical and industrial devices, battery-powered equipment, and disposable applications. Additionally, the ECC204 is a secure storage subsystem with Qi authentication and WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) certification.
Development Tools:
The ECC20x and SHA10x integrated circuits are supported by Trust Platform Design Suite , which provides sample code and learning materials and enables secure credential transfer to better leverage Microchip’s secure key provisioning services. The devices are also supported by the MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment (IDE), product-specific evaluation boards, and the CryptoAuthLib library.
