Precision sensors without amplifiers and with open Wheatstone bridges are also available in ultra-miniaturized (PS) sizes. Versions with chamfered pins are also available to improve DIP pin insertion into the PCB.
PS-A units come in three types. The standard version with a glass base can handle pressures from 100 kPa ± to -1000 kPa with a total accuracy of ±1.25%. The economy version without a glass base is for pressures of 40 kPa with ±4% accuracy, and the low-pressure version is for 6 kPa with ±2.5% accuracy. The size is 7.0 by 7.2 mm (10.4 by 10.4 mm for the low-pressure type).
The PS and PF sensors come in two versions. The standard version with a glass base is for pressures from 4.9 to 980.7 kPa, and the economy version without a glass base is for pressures up to 40 kPa. The PS models measure 7.2 x 7.2 mm.
Taking its place alongside the standard 5KΩ bridge resistor models, these PS units feature a 3.3kΩ resistance and are ideally suited for 5V control circuits. Applications for the PS units include industrial pressure switches, pneumatic devices, and medical blood pressure monitors.
