The LTC6752, designed to control logic levels between 3.3V and 1.8V, features a propagation delay of only 2.9ns and overshoot of only 1.8ns. Its jitter is only 4.5ps for a 100mVpp, 100MHz sinusoidal input, and the outputs swing within 200mV of the power rails with a load current of up to 8mA. All these high-speed features make it well-suited for a wide variety of applications where timing is critical, fast response times are required, and CMOS output levels are needed.
The LTC6752 offers five options and is available in different packages with unique combinations of features such as separate input and output sources, low-power shutdown, an output latch, adjustable hysteresis, and additional outputs. It also offers the ability to quickly capture the comparator's state. With the adjustable hysteresis function, the default hysteresis of 5mV can be increased to 40mV for clean switching in the presence of noisy input signals, and hysteresis can be eliminated entirely. Separate input and output power supplies allow the output logic level to be independent of the input signal range for conversion between logic levels. Power-off reduces the power supply, allowing the comparator to turn on quickly. Furthermore, the complementary CMOS outputs simplify logic interfaces and eliminate the need for separate logic inversion.
The inputs for the LTC6752 extend beyond the power rails, making them particularly convenient for single-supply operation. All members of the LTC6752 family are capable of driving both 3.3V and 2.5V logic. The LTC6752-2, LTC6752-3, and LTC6752-4 models feature separate input and output power supplies, decoupling the input and output voltage levels and enabling them to control 1.8V logic.
The LTC6752 family is available in 3mm x 3mm TSOT23, SC70, MSOP8, and QFN packages with 12 pins. These devices are fully rated for two temperature ranges: -40°C to 85°C and -40°C to 125°C.
