The next step is towards improving autonomy in normal operations that can be performed without human intervention, and that's where WiBotic comes in.

Driving next-generation robotic autonomy, Seattle-based WiBotic provides wireless charging and power optimization solutions to power the rapidly growing ecosystem of flying, mobile, marine, and industrial robots. Its range of solutions enables robots and autonomous vehicles to be recharged using wireless charging stations, eliminating the need for human operators to physically connect robots to chargers. Furthermore, wireless charging technology reduces wear and tear on physical connection points, the risk of tripping over power cables and charging stations installed on the floor, and the space requirements of charging rooms.
WiBotic's wireless charging solutions are designed to facilitate the parallel charging of multiple robots (even from different manufacturers) from the same transmitter at different times. Alternatively, an entire fleet of robots can utilize a network of transmitters located in various places within a warehouse. In short, any robot can be charged at any station, even if the robots have different battery types and charging voltages and currents.

regulatorpowers innovation in wireless charging

The Vicor VI Chip® PRM 48V regulator is a high-efficiency, 400W converter that operates from a 36–75V input to generate a regulated output. The device is installed in the adaptive transmitter integrated into the WiBotic TR-110 wireless charging station, which wirelessly powers the receiver of the robot or autonomous vehicle.

The PRM accepts 48V from an AC/DC power supply and the output voltage is monitored and adjusted adaptively from an approximate voltage of 20-55V.

Vicor's PRM enables consistent, high-efficiency conversion across the entire impedance range with flexible support for both full-load and trickle-load modes without significant efficiency drop at high power levels—a critical performance parameter beyond the reach of competing power components. This high-efficiency conversion capability resulted in a consistent maximum device temperature of 40–45°C, helping to overcome thermal management constraints across the entire power range.

WiBotic provides a dynamic charging solution that enables next-generation autonomy. These devices break free from the constraints of manually managed charging processes and can achieve new levels of functionality and productivity without power limitations.
