The new OMRON G2RG-X can protect peripheral circuits when charging a storage battery, as well as in energy storage systems, inverters, servos, power supplies, and UPSs.
The OMRON G2RG-X achieves its 500 VDC, 10 A switching capacity with dimensions of 13.5 mm x 29.0 mm and a height of 26.5 mm. The performance of this component is the result of OMRON's arc control structure and a 3.0 mm contact gap. Other features include its high insulation level, with an isolation distance exceeding 8 mm, and its ability to withstand voltage surges of up to 10 kV between the coil and contacts.
The G2RG-X incorporates a single coil that consumes 0.8 W, unlike other solutions that use two coils; this further reduces energy losses within the device. It is designed for series connection of its two poles and has an electrical lifespan of 10,000 operations in this configuration. The relay is UL and TÜV certified.
