These connectors can be used in household appliances intended for the European market. They are also suitable for applications in air conditioning, lighting, security, and industrial control.
In terms of design, it should be noted that these connectors have a pitch of 6.35 mm and feature positive locking mechanisms to prevent accidental disconnection; they are also polarized to prevent incorrect connections.
Similarly, RS has expanded TE Connectivity's VAL-U-LOK series, distributing new terminal position lock (TPA) connectors with a 4.2 mm pitch. These connectors comply with UL90V0 and are suitable for applications using electroluminescent cables. They are ideal for cable-to-panel, cable-to-cable, or cable-to-board applications.
The new VAL-U-LOK series housings support optional TPA devices to ensure that terminals are fully inserted, preventing them from being pushed out due to vibration, impact, or pulling forces. They are also compatible with existing connectors from the same series.
Finally, RS has expanded the range of contacts in TE Connectivity's PTL (Power Triple Lock) series, a tin-plated copper alloy series with options for different cable sizes.
In this series we find three types of materials that differ in the temperature they are able to withstand (up to 105°C, up to 150°C and another that complies with the IEC60335-1 standard and withstands up to 750°C without flame).
