These relays also have the lowest profile in the 4 x 4 mm footprint, measuring only 9.5 mm high. The devices are currently available in Form A (energize to do) with 3- or 5-volt coil options.

The 124 Series reed relays feature bombed ruthenium switches rated at 5 watts, 0.5 amps. Pickering has used these switches in its well-known 111, 111P, and 117 Series relays, ensuring reliability and high performance. In the new devices, the switches are vertically oriented within the package, resulting in a very high package density, which is essential for automated test systems.

Relays have very fast operating times, typically 80µs, making them ideal for high-speed test systems, and due to their incredibly small size, they are also suitable for very high-density applications such as ATE and switching semiconductor arrays or multiplexers.

These single-pole relays are the second series to be launched within Pickering's new ultra-high-density product line: the recently launched 120 Series devices have a capacity of up to 1.0 amps at 20 watts, but with a higher profile height of 15.5 mm.
