Optical fiber detection, which uses optical signals and fibers instead of electricity and copper, provides improvements in security, greater transmission distance, and immunity to electromagnetic noise.
With a special encapsulation, these FBG sensors increase both heat sensitivity (greater accuracy) and moisture resistance.
The combination of stability and reliability allows its insertion into concrete to monitor temperature variations, and it can be part of multiple measurement networks (multipoint).
The PSEN-T07 sensors, which are also characterized by resistance to electromagnetic interference, have a temperature resolution of 0.04 °C, an accuracy of 0.4 °C, and a range of -20 to +120 °C. The FGB center wavelength is 1510–1590 nm, and the connector can be FC/APC or customized, and can be mounted on cord or armored cable.
