This series, which features a high and flat frequency response from DC to 1500 Hz (±5% min.), is designed based on an optimized MEMS (microelectromechanical system) sensor, improved chip mounting, a new ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) with a powerful 200,000 Hz internal clock, and a temperature sensor.
The new ASIC-optimized architecture provides polarization temperature and scale factor stability of ±0.2 mg/°C (min/max) and 120 ppm/°C (typical). It also offers overload detection and aftershock recovery. Nonlinearity is virtually nonexistent with 0.1% of full scale (typical value) under vibration.
The sensors are available with a wide dynamic range of ±2 to ±200 g, making them suitable for a wide variety of applications, such as active suspension systems in locomotives, structural condition checking, and MEMS inertial navigation systems.
Martin Kemp, Business Development Director for Sensors in Europe at Acal BFi, stated: "We are delighted to introduce the VS1000 series to the European market. The addition of these high-performance, shock-resistant vibration sensors is a significant addition to our sensor portfolio and enhances our ability to offer customers the most innovative and highest-performing sensors on the market.".
Acal BFi now has the VS1000 series in stock; see a detailed analysis of the range and models' performance or contact us for more information.
