Thanks to the use of Temposonics® proprietary technology, the RT4 is a linear position measurement solution that incorporates two independent sensor elements, each with a measuring length from 50 mm to 2540 mm.
 
This fully redundant position sensing product, designed for use in steel mills, sawmills, and power plants, employs a Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI), making data transfer less susceptible to electromagnetic interference. Furthermore, the IP68-rated housing protects against the threat of liquid ingress. The RT4's separate electronic unit can be mounted up to 600 mm from the sensing environment, keeping the electronics away from potential hazards. The sensor rod and interconnecting cables can operate at temperatures up to 100°C.
