Elite also offers other renewable energy and energy efficiency products and services, including an interactive control system, custom manufacturing and packaging, biogas systems through its subsidiary Cow Power, Inc., and technology integration solutions (mobile/modular server backup facilities, organic Rankin cycle generators, and pressure drop generators for natural gas pipelines, to name a few).

Combined heat and power (CHP), also known as cogeneration, is a technique for generating both electricity and heat from a single fuel. Cogeneration is a clean, efficient, and renewable form of energy production. It is cheaper, less polluting, and more efficient than purchasing electricity from the grid or burning fuel in a boiler to produce heat or steam. Elite generators provide the necessary power while offering a more environmentally friendly alternative to meet customer needs.
 
System Requirements:
The Elite GenView™ control system is designed to operate and protect the thermoelectric generator. The system connects via an Ethernet connection accessed through a static IP address. Service can be provided through a dedicated connection, such as DSL, cable, partial T-1, or mobile broadband. It can also be overlaid on an existing connection routed to a specific port address.

The generator can be started by a direct command, a timer, or an external activation contact. When activated, the controls start up in parallel with the unit and manage both the power output and the VAR output according to pre-programmed levels. The controls can also monitor the load by comparing it to imported service data (when reasonable power variations occur). Furthermore, the controls incorporate several levels of protection, from out-of-tolerance alarms to shutdowns. These alarms are fully documented (date/time stamp, sensor that registered the error, and error value). This information is stored in non-volatile memory and can be accessed and downloaded remotely.

GenView incorporates a standard graphical user interface (GUI). This allows users to be trained at one center and interact with divisions in multiple locations. This shortens the training period for new operators and ensures less disruption when operators or technicians are unavailable.

The control system must accurately represent the site being controlled and be flexible enough to be applied in hundreds of sites and applications.

The control system has other Advantech devices integrated, such as the ADAM-5017, 5018, 5024, and 5050, in addition to the ADAM-6520 and UNO-2050E. The modular, compact ADAM-5000 series offers the type of inputs and outputs with the flexibility that Elite requires. All of these products provide the ruggedness, reliability, and precision needed to ensure that the GenView control system is operational at all times and meets the high expectations for Elite's standard products.
