The RHYTHM R3920 is a 16-channel device equipped with advanced algorithms for high-end applications, while the RHYTHM R3110 brings new features, such as noise reduction and feedback cancellation, to the entry-level market segment. Both new devices meet the demanding requirements of hearing aid design across all form factors, striking a perfect balance between high performance and energy efficiency.
The R3920 brings enhanced functionality and flexibility to today's advanced hearing aids. It features 16 channels of wide dynamic range compression (WDRC), enabling audiologists to precisely adjust the granularity. The R3920's iSceneDetect™ environment classification algorithm distinguishes between various sound environments and automatically selects the most appropriate mode to enable a high-quality, personalized listening experience. Impulse noise reduction, another new feature of the R3920, monitors and attenuates distracting high-pitched sounds, such as the clatter of cymbals, which would otherwise be very unpleasant for hearing aid users. For hearing aid manufacturers, the R3920 can utilize the same housings, schematics, and designs as ON Semiconductor’s existing R3910, an 8-channel DSP, greatly simplifying and accelerating the customer’s time to market.
The R3110 enables noise reduction and feedback cancellation in hearing aids marketed in emerging and entry-level markets. The R3110 is a turnkey solution, requiring no computer tuning or extensive infrastructure to facilitate expansion in these markets. With a set of predefined hearing parameters, the R3110 eliminates the need for training and software tools, simplifying the deployment process. Multiple modes can be configured, including single and dual microphone, tinnitus masking, and telecoil.
