Allegro's new suite of fully integrated door controllers offers optimized architecture and performance that directly impacts vehicle weight, battery/fuel efficiency, and driver safety.

They are designed to adapt to any load configuration, from half-bridge with independent HS (High Side) and LS (Low Side) outputs to three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) control. Developed on a high-voltage process node for 48V systems, these devices offer world-class ASIL diagnostics and diagnostic verification enabled with an ISO 26262-compliant process.

The new devices include:

• AMT49100 and AMT49101: 80V three-phase safety gate controllers for electric power steering (EPS) and other safety-critical systems
• AMT49502: 80V safety half-bridge gate controller with solid-state actuators and relays
• A89503: 80V safety half-bridge gate controller with independent HS and LS output loads for floating loads such as seat heaters and catalytic heaters
• A89500: 100V high-power half-bridge gate controller in an ultra-compact DFN package for distributed systems, 48V power inverters, golf carts, and electric motorcycles

Offered in ultra-small packages, these devices are designed to meet the rigorous demands of the automotive market by increasing functionality and reducing the PCB footprint.

Optimized solutions for 48V applications.
Allegro's complete 48V gate controllers are reliable, robust, and offer optimal flexibility. Scalable for specific applications, these devices offer multiple topologies and can handle various loads (up to 10 kW), from heaters and catalytic converters to EPS and braking applications.

Recognizing the importance of the system and driver safety, Allegro's new portfolio of 48V motors was designed for the cars of the future, today. These 80V automotive door controllers were developed using an ISO 26262 compliant design process and offer best-in-class diagnostic features. Ideal for safety-critical systems, Allegro's ASIL door controllers include more than 20 diagnostic functions, enabling customers to diagnose, verify, and troubleshoot system faults.
