Integrated circuitsThe IRS2334SPbF is supplied in an SOIC20WB package, while the IRS2334MPbF is offered in a QFN5X5 package with a footprint of only 25mm2 and designed to meet the appropriate requirements for creepage and clearance distances to enable robust and reliable designs for voltages up to 600V.

Inverter-driven motors offer efficiency exceeding 80% compared to standard on/off drives with efficiencies below 50%. The IRS2334SPbF and IRS2334MPbF provide a compact solution and are easier to implement, enabling designers of applications such as power tools, refrigerator compressors, and electrically controlled fans to utilize smaller, energy-efficient inverters.

The IRS2334x family provides comprehensive protection, including immunity to negative voltage spikes (Vs), for safe operation under extreme switching conditions and in the event of a short circuit. The device's output drivers incorporate a high-current pulse intermediate stage designed to minimize driver cross-conduction. Propagation delays are balanced to simplify operation at high frequencies. The floating channel can be used to drive N-channel power MOSFETs or IGBTs in a high-potential-side configuration.

The new ICs utilize IR's advanced HVIC process, which incorporates state-of-the-art level variation and high-voltage termination technology to provide superior protection against electrical overload and increased reliability in the field. The IRS2334x features undervoltage lockout protection, integrated dead-time protection, and signal trigger protection. The new devices also boast an advanced input filter, a gate driver with a lower di/dt for improved noise immunity, output in phase with the inputs, and compatibility with 3.3V input logic.
