pr102 e-autowebThe BD9582F-M boasts a wide operating temperature range and is AEC-Q100 certified, ensuring stable and reliable operation in automotive systems. Furthermore, its industry-leading low current consumption (330uA) contributes to extended battery life.

A growing number of hybrid and electric cars are being equipped with emergency or safety power systems, including sockets that can power not only portable devices such as smartphones but also high-power consumer equipment. Safety systems incorporating integrated leakage detection circuits, used in homes and buildings, are currently being considered for cars to prevent electric shocks or fires when using power outlets. However, serious reliability issues (including temperature protection) must be overcome before widespread implementation is possible.

In response, ROHM developed a new leak detection IC designed to provide safe and reliable operation of AC power outlets in vehicles. The BD9582F-M extends the conventional temperature range of -20°C to 95°C to a more robust -40°C to 105°C and protects against electromagnetic radiation, providing the necessary level of reliability for automotive applications. The ROHM leak detection IC also meets the AEC-Q100 semiconductor standard for automotive applications and utilizes proprietary technology combined with a novel circuit design to improve cutoff performance and enhance system safety. Furthermore, further circuit optimization results in the industry's lowest current draw of 330µA, extending battery life and maintaining highly reliable operation. Additionally, this integrated circuit is compatible with AC100–240V, ensuring support not only for automotive systems but also for consumer devices.
