This technique achieves magnetic stability across the entire operating temperature range and eliminates the inherent differences of single-element Hall devices exposed to harsh application environments.
This new family of devices is ideal for systems where the sensor ICs will be located behind a voltage regulator or where dual battery or reverse battery protection is not required.

The APS122x5 family has been optimized for speed and position sensing of ring magnets (motors/encoders) or other motion/rotation assemblies and targets the 2.8 to 5.5 V automotive and industrial markets. Key end applications include motor commutation and speed and direction sensing in automotive power windows, sunroofs and liftgates, household appliances, automatic window blinds, garage door openers, sliding doors, and more.
The new APS12205, APS12215, and APS12235 share the same package, pinout, and magnetic characteristics as the industry standards A1220, A1221, and A1223, respectively. They are qualified to the same standards, such as AEC-Q100, and can operate at temperatures up to 175°C.
All members of the family are offered in two package styles. The LH is a miniature, low-profile SOT-23W package for surface-mount applications. The UA is an ultra-mini, three-pole, single-inline package (SIP) for through-hole mounting. Both packages are lead-free (Pb) with 100% matte tin-plated lead plating.
The APS122x5 range of Hall-effect switches is available with various magnetic switching points and packages. The APS122x5 family of devices complements Allegro's standard A122x family, offering dedicated 3.3/5V devices.
