The QN902x SoCs are high-performance, highly integrated, ultra-low-power Bluetooth v4.0 Low Energy (BLE) solutions for smart Bluetooth applications such as sports and fitness wearables, human interface devices, and app-enabled smart accessories. The

NXP QN902x SoCs integrate a high-performance 2.4 GHz radio frequency transceiver with a 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0 microcontroller, 128 KB of flash memory, and 64 KB of system memory, providing additional signal processing and application space for a true smart Bluetooth single-chip solution. In addition to the BLE radio and microcontroller, the QN902x SoCs incorporate a BLE protocol stack and software profile on a single chip, providing a flexible and easy-to-use BLE SoC solution. The SoCs include a four-channel, 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), two analog comparators, and up to 31 general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins. The QN902x SoCs operate from a 2.4V to 3.6V supply range and have very low power consumption in all modes, enabling long battery life for systems while maintaining excellent RF performance. Additionally, engineers can use the QN902x as a network processor to add smart Bluetooth connectivity to almost any product by connecting the SoC to an application processor via UART or SPI.

The NXP QN9020 Bluetooth development kit provides easily accessible buttons, a piezo buzzer, and LEDs, allowing engineers to evaluate the integrated QN9020 SoC. The development board features a USB port for UART communication, a JLink debugging interface, and an optional GPIO or sensor connector. The kit includes a USB Bluetooth adapter, which works with the board as a pair for evaluation and debugging, and a USB cable for power and data transfer.
