The I2C-based interface allows system designers and remote operators to control and monitor system power and consumption. The device is calibrated and guaranteed to operate between -40°C and 125°C, with a DC voltage accuracy of ±0.5% for line and load regulation and a maximum load current verification accuracy of ±2.5%.
The LTM4675 includes EEPROM, power MOSFETs, inductors, and support components. It features two fast analog control loops and precision mixed-signal circuitry. The LTM4675 is fully compatible with the LTM4676A, a higher-power, dual 13A device in a larger package (16mm x 16mm BGA), eliminating the need to change the schematic so system designers can easily switch between devices during the prototyping phase. This eliminates the need to redesign power circuits if power requirements change during board prototype development. The LTM4675 has applications in optical transport systems, switches and routers for data communications and telecommunications, industrial test equipment, robotics, RAID systems, and enterprise systems where energy, cooling, and maintenance costs are critical and must be continuously and accurately measured. The LTM4675 operates
with a supply voltage of 4.5V to 17V and reduces VINto two outputs between 0.5V and 5.5V. Two channels can share current to supply up to 18A (e.g., 9A + 9A on a single output). The turn-on time is 70ms. The free LTpowerPlay™ development system, based on a graphical user interface, is available for download to evaluate the LTM4675's performance, along with a USB-PMBus converter and a demonstration kit. With a maximum DC output error with respect to temperature of ±0.5%, a current verification accuracy of ±2.5%, a 16-bit delta-sigma A/D converter, and integrated EEPROM, the LTM4675 combines best-in-class analog switching regulator performance with precise mixed-signal data acquisition. At power-up, the output voltages, switching frequency, and channel phase angle assignments can be adjusted using resistors connected to the pins.
The internal working temperature range of the LTM4675 is -40°C to 125°C.
