With the aim of offering engineers superior design flexibility and ensuring the fastest possible connection processes, a reverse clamping system has been developed and incorporated into the robust, stainless steel screw-on closures built into each Gecko-SL connector. These male connectors act as floating clamps and screw onto the female connectors, unlike conventional Gecko-SL systems where the female connectors have floating clamps.
The Gecko-SL Reverse Fix system is available for male and female cable housings. For this version, the female connectors can be used in a panel-mount configuration, with the threaded terminal located on the back of the screw closure. Slotted and hex nuts are supplied separately. Surface-mount and PCB insertion versions of the male and female connectors are also available, with the threaded terminal on the female connectors providing protection against pulling on the board itself.
Gecko-SL products are further complemented by a range of ready-to-use cables that cover a wide range of customer requirements. Single-terminated male and female versions are available, as well as double-terminated male-male, male-female, and female-female configurations, with the option to specify various pin counts and cable lengths. The existing Gecko-SL connector range is expanded with new screw-lock options for male cable connectors (now with panel mounting) and male PCB connectors – for surface mounting and insertion – now with terminals for board mounting.
