In addition, SICK offers a wide range of adapters that allow the MZT7 to be used with other types of cylinders. One of the features of the MZT7 is its simple mounting principle: the sensor is inserted into the slot and secured to the cylinder with a quarter turn.
The MZT7 can be used on all standard T-slot cylinders, linear slides, and robotic grippers, and, with an adapter, on circular, pull-bar, and profile cylinders with tie rods, as well as dovetail groove cylinders. It features an LED indicator for switching status and is notable for its easy sensor insertion into the slot. The robust, hard housing has an IP67 protection rating. The MZT7 uses a combination mounting screw (hex head and slotted screw). It is suitable for a wide range of applications: packaging machines, handling and assembly systems, woodworking machinery, electronics production, textile machinery, and special machine construction.
The sensor's design is universally compatible with all standard T-slots, regardless of the cylinder profile or manufacturer. Easy installation is another key feature: thanks to its side retainers, the sensor stays in place and won't come loose even before the screws are tightened. The sensor is quickly and securely attached to the slot with a simple quarter turn of the fixing screw. The robust fixing screw keeps the sensor in the desired position, even under impact and vibration. The design and easy installation also allow for quick sensor replacement for maintenance without removing the cover.
The features of direct top-insertion mounting, the small and compact design with excellent clamping, the combined screw, the reliable detection of the switching point, the sensors with two types of adjustable switching, as well as the universal mounting options using adapters, make it clear that SICK's magnetic cylinder sensors are ready for all types of locations and circumstances.
