PowerProx sensorsPowerProx reliably detects high-speed moving objects, small flat objects, and very dark or very bright objects over a long range. The PowerProx sensor family also delivers stable detection results across a wide angle of incidence and is insensitive to ambient light.

The PowerProx sensor family combines time-of-flight measurement technology, Class 1 laser light, excellent optics, and fast signal processing in a compact housing. The PowerProx sensor family is adjustable via a potentiometer or a learning button. Depending on the application, versions with one or two independently adjustable outputs are available. The use of IO-Link allows for the definition of up to eight switching points and the use of smart sensor functions. The VISTAL® housing ensures the necessary robustness.

PowerProx Distance for reliable detection at a distance of up to 3.8 m and two independently adjustable switching points, for monitoring free and occupied spaces on shelves, for palletizing operations and for collision protection in storage and transport systems.

Door and access protection also requires long-range systems. Reflective photocells and emitter-receiver barriers need to be complemented with a reflector or receiver system for this purpose. PowerProx works on the principle of object detection, without requiring reflectors or receivers.

PowerProx Speed offers short response times, high switching frequencies, and reliable object detection with a range of up to 2.5 m for use in the packaging industry and any application requiring maximum speed, such as high-speed counting. The short response time, high switching frequency, and high-precision laser beam also enable accurate detection of wooden slat edges.

PowerProx Precision, with a range of up to 1.8 m, also detects very small objects, notches and cavities at a great distance, even with changing materials and surfaces or with shiny or reflective backgrounds.

PowerProx Small offers time-of-flight measurement technology, ranges up to 2.5m, and high switching frequencies up to 1kHz in the smallest housing on the market. Its Class 1 laser technology ensures safe operation for direct view.
Adjustment is via a potentiometer. Depending on the application, versions with one or two independent outputs are available.

Each product in the PowerProx range is also available with two adjustable switching points, making it easy and efficient to solve regulation tasks such as buckling control in the graphic arts, tire industry, or steel sheet processing.
