One of the challenges engineers face when designing a practical and reliable transmission system is common-mode noise. Common-mode noise (also known as dV/dt noise) is naturally generated within a system when high-frequency switching occurs between high-voltage supplies. This article discusses potential sources of dV/dt noise within a hybrid transmission system unit and offers some suggestions for addressing the problem.
