The 6th generation of Intel Core processors powers many new devices.
The new 6th generation of Intel Core processors enables a wide range of designs to meet virtually any need. Intel® Core™ M processors, which deliver twice the performance of leading premium tabletsnow include the Intel Core m3, m5, and m7 processor brands, providing greater clarity and choice when finding the Intel Core m device that best meets a user's specific needs. The Intel® Compute Stick lineup will expand with a version based on the 6th generation Intel Core M processor.
This new generation of Intel processors also includes many new features for mobile designs: an unlocked mobile “K” model for overclocking, with even greater user control; a new quad-core Intel® Core™ i5 processor model that offers up to 60 percent improvement in mobile multitasking; and the Intel® Xeon® E3 processor family for mobile workstations. The 6th Generation Intel Core processors offer significant improvements in graphics performance9 to deliver incredible effects in games, as well as 4K content creation and multimedia playback. The new Intel® Speed Shift technology improves the responsiveness of mobile systems so users can, for example, apply a photo filter up to 45 percent faster10.

In addition, the 6th generation Intel Core processor family and Intel Xeon platforms will offer a wide range of new features and experiences. More devices will include Thunderbolt™ 3 with USB Type-C, a single port that does it all. A camera with Intel® RealSense™ will be available on many 2-in-1 systems and laptops with 6th generation Intel Core processors. It will offer new depth-sensing capabilities and immersive experiences that allow users to take and share 3D selfies, scan and insert objects or themselves into some of their favorite video games, and easily remove or change the background during a video call.

This new platform also represents an advancement of Intel's "no wires" initiative, which will offer the best experience for wireless displays with Intel® WiDi or Pro WiDi available on the market. This technology allows people to easily share their computer with a TV or monitor without the hassle of cables.

The 6th generation Intel Core processor family lets you take full advantage of Windows® 10 features like Cortana and Windows Hello* for a more natural and efficient way to interact with technology. Devices with Intel RealSense cameras and Windows Hello enable secure logins using facial recognition. Intel Security's True Key™ technology is also available to provide a secure experience when connecting to devices and websites, without the need to remember every password.

The 6th Generation Intel Core Processors for a Wide Range of New Devices.
In the coming months, Intel plans to offer more than 48 processors within the 6th Generation Intel Core processor family, with Intel® Iris™ and Iris Pro graphics, as well as the Intel Xeon E3-1500M processor family for mobile workstations and the 6th Generation Intel vPro processors for enterprise. Starting now and continuing through the coming months, manufacturers worldwide will offer a wide variety of devices in different form factors. In addition, Intel offers more than 25 IoT (Internet of Things) products with up to 7 years of supply and error correcting code (ECC) at multiple TDP levels. The retail, healthcare, enterprise, and security and surveillance sectors will benefit from the enhancements of the 6th Generation Intel Core processors, which also include IoT designs from the ground up to the cloud.
