These regulators are suitable for a wide variety of portable and wearable devices, such as sensors, RF devices, and IoT applications, or any application where board space is limited and high-density assembly is required.

The TCR3RM series is characterized by its high ripple rejection ratio, typically 100 dB at 1 kHz measured at a 2.8 V output. Unlike other LDO regulators whose ripple rejection ratio usually decreases by 20 dB for every tenfold increase in frequency, the TCR3RM series experiences a much smaller reduction. The rejection ratio at 1 MHz and a 2.8 V output is 68 dB. Electrical noise poses an increasing challenge for many designs, especially DC/DC converters, whose higher switching frequencies are used to improve conversion efficiency. The TCR3RM series' ripple rejection, along with its low noise (typically 5 µVrms at 10 Hz ≤ f ≤ 100 kHz), contributes to the high level of line stability and power supply voltage accuracy.

With a maximum output current of 300 mA, the TCR3RM series employs a bandgap circuit, a low-pass filter, and a high-speed, low-noise operational amplifier to provide the regulator with excellent ripple rejection and output noise.

The dropout voltage is typically 130 mV for a 2.8 V / 300 mA output. The input voltage range for the series is 1.8 V to 5.5 V. The regulator incorporates overcurrent, self-discharge, and thermal shutdown protection.
